Rice of anime "Hyouka" will be released

"Eru Chitanda Rice"

Takayama Rice Cooperative Union will release "Eru Chitanda Rice" on December 1st. It has Eru Chitanda, a heroin of anime "Hyouka" printed on the package.
A 2 kilograms bag will be 1,575 yen($19.11) for regular, and 3,150 yen($38.23) for premium.

Akihabara maids harvested rice grown in the city

Ladies dressed in maid reaped rice on the roof of a building in Akihabara, Tokyo in October 24th.
The NPO project started in 2009 expects 2 kilograms(4.4 pounds) of rice this year used for bento(packed meal) soled at around Akihabara Station.

A book introduces 48 Japanese Navy's Curry and Rice recipes

The book "Curry and Rice Recipes of Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force"


A cooking recipe book, "海上自衛隊のめちゃうまカレーレシピ48(48 Curry and Rice Recipes of Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force)" is released at bookstores in Akihabara and all across Japan.
The book contains 38 curry and rice recipes used at the kitchens on the Japanese navy ships and submarines and 10 recipes used at the bases, explaining different traditional recipes of each ship and base for general household uses.
