Radio active caesium detected from 0.1% of children in Fukushima

Children take inspection(*image)

Inspection of internal radiation exposure implemented to 5,931 children aged between 4 to 12 in Fukushima from April to June this year revealed that radio active caesium is identified from 6 or 0.1 percent of children.
Among them, three children are from the same family with the highest rate of 615 Bq, caused by eating wild mushrooms.
Restraining vegetables grown outdoors, government's strict regulations for foods and the nation's low food self-supporting ratio have contributed the result, doctors analyses.
Caesium taken inside child's body reduces by half in 30 to 60 days because of metabolism function.
