Comic Market 84 held on Aug. 10, 11 and 12 gathered 590,000 otaku in three days at Tokyo Big Sight. The temperature at the site topped 42.2 degrees centigrade.

Comic Market 83(C83), the largest manga, anime, game, music and subculture event in the world held at Tokyo Big Sight from December 29th to 31st attracted 550,000 fans marking the largest as the winter event.

Free BIG Mac. McDonald's 60 seconds rule

McDonald's Japan will implement the sales campaign named "ENJOY!"60 Seconds Service" from January 4th till 31st giving customers a free sandwich coupon for any purchase if it takes more than 60 seconds to serve. The coupon can be exchanged for popular hamburgers including BIG Mac.
Furthermore on January 14th next year, Coming of Age Day(Adult's Day) it will serve free BIG Macs for new adults who become 20 between April 1st in 2012 and March 31st in 2013.

Comic Market 82(Aug 10-12) gathered 560,000 subculture fans to Tokyo Big Sight. 210,000, the largest number for a day visited during the final day alone.
The number 560,000 equaled the summer of 2009 2010, recovering from the last year's decrease after the greatest earthquake.
15,000 circles joined the final day.
The next Comic Market 83 will be coming to Tokyo Big Sight from December 29th to 31st 2012.
