70-year-old guy dead after stealing an underwear



Approximately 70-year-old male died from falling down from his bicycle being on the run after stealing an underwear.
He was found by a resident when trying to steal an underwear on the balcony at 4 am on Semtember 28th in Osaka City. He fell down after running away few metres. He once stood up but fell down again. He was dead two hours after transported to the hospital.
There was an female underwear in his bicycle basket.

A man burned the city hall with petrol bombs

Takarazuka City Hall


A 63-year-old jobless man at 9:40 am on July 12th burned Takarazuka City Hall throwing two petrol bombs at a reception desk.
600 staffs and citizens evacuated from the building and 5 were injured.
The man arrested deposed that he lost his temper for receiving the demand letter of property tax he has been defaulted.
The office cancelled all of its business on July 12th.

Starbucks Coffee Japan will open a cafe inside Takeo City Library, Saga reopened after renewal in April 2013.
The city entrusts the operation of the library to Culture Convenience Club known for DVD and CD rental chain "TSUTAYA". The library with cafe will be giving "T-points" to users for each rental and open all year around. The expenses for commission will be 110 million yen($1.39M) per an year for next five years.


-FACTS-
TSUTAYA and GEO are the two largest DVD/BD and CD rental shop chains in Japan. GEO has comic book rental service also.

"Baikamo" flowers under the water are at their best

"Baikamo" or water crowfoots


Flower of water crowfoots(ranunculus aquatilis/"Baikamo" in Japanese) bloomed in the Jizo River of Samegai, Maibara City, Shiga.
Plum-like flowers dancing under the water were lit up every night until August 5th. The blossoms are at their best till the end of September.

Anime "Hyouka" brings economic impact of 2.1B yen

"Hyouka"


Aime "Hyouka" will bring economic impact of 2.1 billion yen per year to Gifu Prefecture where the story is situated, The Juroku Bank announced.
The bank estimated that the anime attracts 150,000 visitors per year to Takayama City creating the economic effect accompanied by such fees as logging, transportations and foods.
"Hyouka" is based on series of mystery novels by Honobu Yonezawa from the city.
