A woman killed by a bear in Akita

On May 27th at 12:45PM, a 61 year old woman found dead in the woods near the Lake Tazawa in Akita.
According to the local police, she was attacked by a wild bear.
It is the first fatal accident for he year in Akita caused by a bear.

Army's deer hunting operation in Hokkaido

Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, the prefecture and the town on March 1st together carried out deer hunting operation in Shiranuka-cho, Hokkaido.
