2.2M attempts of unauthorized access to Niconico accounts detected

Dwango on June 13th announced that it detected 2,200,000 attempts of unauthorized login on its web service "Niconico".
Unauthorized login actually occurred for 220,000 IDs.
Among them, unauthorized use of "Niconico Points" was found on 19 IDs caused the damage of 173,610 yen.
Dwango in its statement to all users strongly recommends changing password.

Kadokawa and Dwango agreed with integration

Kadokawa and Dwango on May 14 agreed with management integration.
They aim to distribute contents of Kadokawa including movies, anime, games and books on the web sharing platform of Dwango including Niconico.
Tatsuo Sato from Kadokawa will be the president and Nobuo Kawakami from Dwango will be the chairman of the newly established company "Kadokawa Dwango".
